It will either misfire (fire intermittantly or late) which will allow unburned fuel into the exhaust system. This in turn will ruin a set of cats and cause them to clog up and build too much backpressure which will blow the rings out causing too much blow-by and oil burning.
Plus it will be low on power and unbalanced causing a vibration/miss.

First off it will increase your fuel consumption a lot because a bad spark plug does not allow for a good spark thus needing more fuel. Secondly if you don't change them they will carbonize and sooner or later your car WILL stop running. So get them checked and invest a few bucks on a good set of new spark plugs.

A bad spark plug will not ignite the fuel in that cylinder, so you waste gas and have less power. Its harder on your wallet and on the environment, your car will run rougher and tend to stall, but there should be no permanent damage. Just change the plug (might as well do all of them) and everything will be good again

It can cause a miss, or several misses, which would strongly indicate a larger problem in the ignition problem. A knock is usually caused by bad fuel or bad timing. And not just a bad spark plug.

A bad spark plug can cause your car to misfire. When the car gets misfire, the car will go slow because one of the cylinder will not be working or the fuel will not be ignited. This can cause damage to your car cylinder. It can also cause your car to not start at all.

Causes it to miss, they make a pen type tool to check for this. I may be the wires are bad, some times the ground, or arch to the engine valve covers and never get the plug to fire . using plug wire sealer can correct this. Or change the wire set - one at a time.

It causes that cylinder to not fire. Or not to fire every time. It will cause the engine to run rough and not have normal power. The fuel will be brought into the cylinder and not burned. It will be forced out into the exhaust system and wasted.

makes your car work with one cylinder less, because combustion is not good. in the end it unbalances the engine work giving you bigger problems later
