Alright, so it's coming up on one year for my girlfriend and i. We're in a serious relationship and have discussed everything, from our future together and kids to where we're going to live and how we'd like our house.

If you and your boyfriend were this serious, and for one year, if he would take you to a semi-suprise day.

I want to take her to a nice italian restaurant and make up a letter telling her everything that I have felt and how important she is to me. I wanted to know what would be the best time to do this (before, after, or during dinner) and if there's anything else that there would be to do.

I'm only looking for serious answers please.
Thank you in advance!

The letter that I have, I plan to actually read to her. Or just have it there to remember everything I want to say. Because I still get those butterflies around her and end up at a loss of words. (I'm sure you know what I mean)

First off, I commend you for being such a gentleman. Personally, I think the letter after dinner (maybe before or during dessert) would be a good time, but it's the entire concept of what you are planning that is important. It sounds like you have a nice romantic evening planned out and you shouldn't worry about the logistics as I am sure it will go beautifully! Good Luck!

Don't do it before because after all its a surprise, and the best is always saved for last. If you were to do it during the dinner it would take time away from you wowing her. During your dinner talk to her. Then after wards when your both done eating, bring out the letter. That way the surprises will just keep coming. But actually the time you decide to read it to her wont really matter...she'll be so caught up in the moment she'll just be glad your with her.

If it was me, I would want you to read it to me over dessert. Tell her you have a gift from the heart and hand her the original, rolled as a scroll and tied with a ribbon. Then read it to her from a copy. Your voice saying the words while she can watch your face and it's emotion is a gift she will treasure all the days of her life.
You sound like a caring and committed man- she is very lucky!

Give her the letter after dinner, maybe after you go for a quiet walk together...make sure it's just the two of you so she's not embarrassed when she cries (cause you know she will)!

After...but still at the restaurant. If you wait til you get home she may think you're looking to get lucky. Before dinner would just make her cry and smudge all her make up.

By the way I think that's the sweetest thing ever!

I choose after dinner or else in excitement she'll lost appettite if before dinner or choke if done during dinner time. Bring a small token (tiny stuff toy) to remind her of this very memorable time.

Middle definately because then she won't be expecting it be cause she thinks its just dinner and then read the letter... Just don't make it sound like you are purposing because that could be bad if she starts to think that and then you don't
