it says in the bible that jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead? does this mean that he will judge everyone that has ever die? if so, will he be judging people differently who lived pre-new testament days than those who lived after jesus' birth?

Well, it might be that considering all the pre-Jesus resurrected saviors and such in history that they HAVE had a chance to choose. With all the Jesus-like figures throughout history it may be that nearly all of us have had a chance, and either chosen against or for!

How's that for a slant on the "Jesus wasn't the first" argument!

The "living and the dead" part refers to those who are spiritually alive vs. those who are spiritually dead (ie. those quickened by the Holy Spirit vs. those who are not).

And yes, He will be there at Judgement Day, speeking as an advocate for those who accepted His gift of eternal salvation. Satan (who's name means "adversary" will be the accuser and Christ will be the defense for believers. Those who do not have Christ as their advocate are going to have to give an account of themselves...every word and deed.

According to many traditional Christian teachings, Jesus spent part of the time that He was away from His body (while it lay in the tomb) taking the Jewish Old Testament faithful from a place called Abraham's Bosom up to Heaven. Their judgement has already occured, as far as I can tell. Whether or not they will be called on again at Judgement Day is not specifically addressed in the Bible...so we won't really find out till we get there.

Hope this info helps.

Yes he will Judge everyone.

No, everyone gets Judged the same.

Judgement depends on the colour of the cloths. Everyone who does not believe and wears black will be Judged guilty. Those who 'wash their robes" and wear White as the Bible demands at least 3 times, will pass Judgement!

Pritty fair isnt it!!! We have to understand good and evil and make a stand to pass judgement.

The dead in Christ, Many scholars believe that they are the dead Jews. Christians go straight to heaven when we die. Christians will be judged as a purification process after the rapture and come back with Jesus once he sets up his kingdom of earth.

Yes the final judgment of everyone is still to take place.
Those before Jesus' time will be judged according to their faith in God--or their lack thereof. Faith in God is not just a belief in a certain dogma. True faith shows itself in obedient action to what God has told us to do.
As you can see from the following verses, OT believers were credited righteousness because the ACTIONS that followed their faith.
Rom. 4:3 "What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS."
"But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked. This was CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS for endless generations to come." Psalm 106:30-31

nope, he will judge everyone by the same code. If he comes back, of course, which is doubtful, since he's been dead for nearly 2000 years.

I beleive that everyone will be dead. God doesn't prefer some people to live and others not to. Death is a result of sin. I'm not sure what "living" means in this verse. God bless
