If I have a drunk passenger in my car, am i responsible for damages they caused in my car?

You the driver are allways responsible for everything that goes on while driveing.If you let someone damage your car while you were in control there is no one else to blame but you!

If you let him in your car wether he's drunk or not he is still responcible for his actions if over 18 or 21 depending on the state .Being drunk is no excuse. But you would have to make out an imemdiat report to a insurance company, officer, have witnesses or to some other legal athority .

No, they are responsible for their actions whether they are drunk or not....
As the vehicle operator, you are responsible for the safe and legal operation of the motor vehicle you are driving. As far as passangers, you are responsible for their actions if they are impeding the safe operation of the motor vehicle. Example, hanging out the window while you are driving down the street.

Now, as far as damages, I would confront the individual in question and ask for repairs. If they refuse, take them to small claims court.

You can consider yourself lucky he is sitting next to you and not behind the wheel. Don't hang out with anyone who can't handle the stuff they only smell bad and can get you in trouble. And if they mess up something its unlikely they be responsible enough to pay for it, so you can pay for it if you let them in. GOD Bless.
