I have recently talked to some high school girls and only one out of the twelve was a virgin. I want to know what has happened with morals these days, I get along well with them and they are cool, but I just don't understand why sex has to enter the picture BEFORE marriage.
One good thing I think that would come of this is that STDs would (eventually) go away- at least in the US where there is more control than third world countries.

Yes, I am a virgin and PROUD OF IT!
I don't want to get out school (High school+college) and be known for something bad, I am more mature than most people my age.

I don't care who is "screwing" who, but when they boast without anyone asking them about it-

Although you think just using a condom is safe, it isn't- take a health class. Along with birth control you can still get pregnant AND STDs.

It's terribly sad that our society is quickly detiorating morally and spiritually. We have become so superficial and shallow through consumerism, entertainment, the media, celebrities, etc. It's good that you think about these things and aren't like the world. Follow Christ and listen to what he says. Don't follow and listen to the world, for it is full of sin. God bless you!

"But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy. unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of PLEASURE rather than lovers of God,holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these." 2 Timothy 3:1-5

You know, I consider myself christian, and I had planned to wait until marriage to have sex, but I didn't make it. The good thing about this, is that I did marry him, and we are still married. I see what you're saying and I agree that most girls/boys today don't see that it's wrong, but in defense of some of them like myself I knew it was wrong and I felt bad and thank the Lord I'm forgiven. Waiting shouldn't have been so hard, but sometimes when you're so in love it is. I was 18 and knew what I was doing, not 12 and 13 like some. I do agree with you, but not about the end times. Who knows when that day will be? People have been saying it's coming for hundreds of years and it is. Maybe tomorrow, maybe 10,000 years from now. We won't know no matter how many people think otherwise.

sometimes its family problems for them which lures them to want to find love amongst others and become vulnerable to boys and they sometimes get hurt because they aren't really loved....yet some others.. they just think its the "cool thing to do" which is the wrong reason..... and some other high school couples.. they just don't have anything else to do that won't cost money... so they end up in one of their houses all the time alone.. which will eventually lead to these emotions...and for others.. they are really in love.. high school sweet hearts.. and when love is so strong between two opposite sexes... these urges just form... you are smart.. i doubt you will end up having sex for any of those other "not so good" reasons.. but i think you have yet to fall in true love.. you will not understand the temptation... you can not judge from the outside... you have to go out and experience love with someone.. (not go out and have sex of course.. but just fall in love.be with that special person for a while...) before you can judge everyone for being "immoral".. otherwise you will always have this negative opinion.. you might find that you will come close to losing your virginity...even tho you stay so strong ... and say that you won't.. but if you are with that person for a long time...love will grow.. it will become strong... you will be tempted...

I think sex has lost it's 'mystique'. We are bombarded every single day by commercials, movies etc because 'sex sells' and young children are being forced to give up their childhoods earlier and earlier to fit in to this new 'world image'. I talk to many elderly people quite openly about sex, and they all say that in their day, they used to make love three times a day to their wives or husbands (they weren't allowed to touch each other until the wedding of course) and it was a GIFT to them. Now, couples are having trouble coming together, whether it is from the stress of living in this fast pace, or the fact that we are sick of seeing it all around us all the time!

Moral is the word now a days for religious right. People have a biological need to procreate, morals stop playing a role after a while.

I don't understand it either.
I have a theory. People think sex is not special. They are so wrong. It is so special wth the right person.

Sex is not immoral. Oh and perhaps they don't believe in marriage? That's a mostly Christian concept and get this.... Not everyone is a Christian! :-O
