Why would God give you so many religions to choose from, having only 1 be right? That's like being put in a room, with hundreds of doors, having to choose one, but only one leads to heaven. I pray a lot, and thank God for everything, practically everyday, and some people say that's not good enough. Does anyone agree??
Another thing I'm wondering...most of the Christians I have met have been rude, stuck up, and think that just because they are Christians means they can do whatever they want, and still go to heaven. My friend, who was totally normal and nice just started going to church a couple of days ago, and now is going around saying "The only way to go to heaven is by being saved; by accepting Jesus as your savior" with such certainty, it scares me. Why do they think this? how do you ACTUALLY become 'saved'? I mean, does this make ANYence?? does anyone else not get this????

God didn't give people religion, people created it. They fight over how many they can get on their side and believe what they believe. Its not about God anymore, its a religious monopoly.
-sigh- your friend was scared into believing it...I felt the same way once...I didn't want to go to hell, but...I didn't believe in hell. I don't think an all loving God would allow that. Don't listen to people who insist they are telling you whats right, b/c they don't know themselves.

This is what I get from thew Bible about this. God is blamed constantly for all the violence in the Old Testament. When all along He was judging because people chose against Him. Entire countries would choose against Him. And entire countries He eliminated.
The lessons are recorded in the Bible for many reasons, but one reason is that He wants us to know what He did and why He did it. Those things are for us who believe in Him to know Him.
So choose any religion or not, it's not up to me. God chooses who He wills, and those that He does not want are left to wonder, because they are not His chosen people. God is trustworthy, but you have to trust Him in order to be on His blessed side.
Chances are that you will not believe what I just said to you, or resent all of it. I don't care. Call me stuck up if you want to, I belong to God, you can too, if you only trust what He says and what He did for us.

he doesn't most are man made and thought up.
I don't think I can do whatever I want. I am convicted everytime I sin. Reading the book of Romans has a way of doing this by showing we are decieved in thinking we are ok when we sin.
