No. I like democracy thanks.
And no, I wouldn't change my mind if he was Christian.
Hitler was Christian too. Remember him?

As a Christian, I do not want any human ("Christian" or not) serving in the political office as a dictator.
I guess, a "benevolent" dictator is the ideal human but when everyone has to "dance" to the tune of a dictator, where does C H O I C E come into play? God is love and love gives you a choice. When you study democracy through the ages, you will find that the final stage or phase of democracy's break down is Dictatorship !

I would respond negatively, regardless of the Dictator's religion. What do I care if the dictator claims to be a Christian? Christianity has no membership requirements, no doctrinal requirements, no moral requirements, and no checks and balances on individual members. Ergo, the fact that a Dictator claims to be Christian is absolutely meaningless. And that is not to mention the fact that a dictatorship is completely at odds with the form of Enlightenment religion that I advocate.

If you read the book of revelations there will be a world wide dictator proclaiming that he is God and many will be lead astray. So to answer your question, no any dictator claiming he is a christian and does not possess the life of Christ in him I would not follow

Monarchy and theocracy are okay, it seems, so long as it is a monarch who will cater to your religion only, while disregarding or even persecuting the religions practiced by others. So apparently a dictator is okay if it is their dictator. They reelected him, after all.

We can only have someone in office as commander in chief for 8 years, that is the whole idea of avoiding a dictatorship in this country.
So in the time in office we are to pray for our leaders regaurdless if we like them or not.

I wouldnt want a dictator whether he was Christian or not. Dictatorship only leads to corruption...the only perfect "dictator" is God.

There are plenny of potential Christian leaders out there. I'm sure one of these days we'll get a Christian president who will actually try to set things right.

God bless!

If you had phrased the question differently, my guess is that you'd get a lot of frightening answers from religious folk.
