Around the turn of the century due to legal pressure they dropped polygamy.
Due to the culture becoming more accepting of blacks they allowed blacks into the priesthood
I am guessing next will be allowing women to receive the priesthood. What do you think?

mumof4- Are you able to bless the sacrament? Could you be a bishop? Could you pass the sacrament? Could you give your children priesthood blessings? I’m confused, please politely explain.

Acceptance that the Book of Arbraham is not from Abraham, or even a secret code attributed to Abraham. It will be placed in the Kinderhook files.
The to the reality of the Book of Mormon origins will take a little longer.

To clarify for Momof4:
For a brief period after the Endowment was introduced, the Church had a third order of Priesthood: The Patriarchal Order which was given to couples as a unit. It is speculated that the Patriarchal Order will be restored either shortly before or shortly after Jesus' Second Coming.

If you pay attention during the endowment session, you'll learn how the women already hold the priesthood. They even perform certain ordinances in the temple through it. But just as a deacon can't baptize, an endowed woman can't either.

Mormons giving women the priesthood -- you're kidding! That will NEVER happen! That would mean that women are almost equal to men. The LDS church is all about male dominance. I see the church accepting the LGBT folk sooner than giving women the priesthood. Thanks for the laugh though!
You obviously don't live here in Utah, close to the Mormon Mecca.

Absolutely not. If women were to receive the priesthood in the same way as man then I know it would be the wrong Church and it is not.

You know, if they were really smart, they'd start requiring that their members start drinking beer from the beer barley their farmers grew. So I'm holding out for a fundamental change in the word of wisdom. They'll say its okay for you to smoke and drink. That way they can support their tabacco and beer barley farms and continue their enterprising position.

I have not yet figured out if lds is a social club, cult or ma-by
just a cleverly disguised business.
I will however venture a guess that, the lds will admit to being one two or all of the aforementioned.

Women already have the priesthood, and always have since the temple rites were first brought in.
Sceptics will never understand.
God bless you, brother.

Mormonism is a fake religion and even some high ranking Mormons know that the Book of Mormon is a fabrication by Joseph Smith. But of their own admission they follow that religion simply because they like what comes with it, along with the code of ethics, etc. So don't be too surprised at what new turn Mormonism takes.
