Got in nascar because of his dads name or or do you think he really loves to race i was told along time ago that he got in it cuz of Richard

he has 8 wins 52 top 5's and 173 top 10's he always did well finishing in the top 10 in points while he drove for the woods brothers and felix sabata it's only when he started to drive for petty enterprise in 94 he stopped doing well because they havent given him the equipment to compete i believe if his son adam hadnt been killed he would be retired from driving by now.he is currently looking for a driver to drive the #45 car fulltime and i think he will retire but i believe he got into nascar because he loves it

The family ties are there and he is carry on the Petty name.
But today his love of the sport is his passion,but he races in memory of his son Adam who died in a crash in New Hampshire during a Busch practice May 12 th 2000.

Kyle just could never put it all together though he has some better finishes recently. He has performed like his boss, Richard. Richard followed Lee Petty. Adam Petty followed Kyle before he perished. There are many father/son combos: Bobby Hamilton; Mario, Michael, Marco Andretti; A.J.Foyt and A.J.Foyt IV, etc.

I believe that Kyle got into racing to follow in both his father's and more importantly his grandfather's footsteps. Kyle shows lots of intrest in racing but i believe that it is only amount of time before he is broadcasting full time. His intrest in racing has declined some since Adam was killed in New Hampshire and also since he has put so much time into Victory Junction I believe that he will retire from racing soon and start broadcasting and tending to Victory Junction more!!!!

Hard to say, cause if it wasn't for his dad he probably wouldn't have even had an interest in racing, and he probably wouldn't have gotten as far as he is without his dads help, but of course I'm sure he does have a passion for it if he has done it for so long.

he grew up around racing so it is all he knew. Kyle isnt that bad. he has 8 nascar wins and his victory junction camp is one of the greatest things in NASCAR

I think he probably got in because of his dad and his family. But don't get me wrong I am pretty sure he is a geniune racer and has a lot of passion for it. All I meant by that was if he didn't have the name, you never know if he would of ended up racing.

I think he really loves to race. You can hear the passion in his voice when he talks about it. He has got it running in his veins. I just think he is a better commentator then he is a driver. Sorry Kyle....you're still a great guy!!!

i sorta think he got in because of who his dad is, but he does show alot of interest in acing even though he doesn't do all that well
