my cousin had this really big stuffed dice at his wedding and people could go up and roll the dice. each number was something different like for example:
if you roll a 1 the bride and groom have to kiss
if you roll a 2 the bride or groom has to kiss you
if you roll a 3 the groom has to dip the bride then kiss her
if you roll a 4 you have to kiss someone at the wedding
...and so on....you get the point....and you make up 6 different things so each number rolled is something different. it was fun because it wasnt always the bride and groom kissing, but rather it involved all the guests.

I assume this is for when guests would like to see the bride and groom kiss? The idea I always loved the most would be for guests to demonstrate how they want you to kiss. This is a lot of fun, makes the clinking sound go away, and makes it so that people can't force you to just make out all night cause clinking is so much easier than getting up and kissing someone else in front of everyone.

I've seen weddings where if you wanted the bride and groom to kiss you had to tell a joke, or write and recite a short poem with certain words in it. You just have to set some rules in advance to make sure the tone of the jokes or poems stays PG for the kids.

I think that tradition of making the bride and groom kiss at a wedding is really dumb. Personally, I love my Fi, but we are not PDA people. Even if the kiss is an innocent little kiss, I would be self conscious. I don't think it's respectful to be all kissy, kissy in front of your closet family and friends. The kiss at the church is one thing, but no one should force me to kiss my Fi. If I want to kiss him, I'll do it on my own and when I feel appropriate.

When my aunt and uncle married they had small ultrafancy hand bells (nice looking silver dainty type, not some huge cowbell.)
It was pretty fun.

at my wedding, for some reason everyone yelled "YAAARRRR" like Pirates and we had to kiss then... it was hilarious.

I really don't think you can stop it from happening; people like to do it.
