you must remember one of the big differences between Christianity and Islam is where the official interpretation of the holy books come from. Christianity most of the interpretation came from the pope or collage of cardinals before the church started to splinter to baptists,Lutherans, Mormons, etc. most of those interpretations are with us today. Islam, the interpretations of the Quran is left to the local holy men or ayatollahs, and is there for not consistent through out Islam or its splinter groups.
