I think the best way of job hunting is to maximize your exposure. What I mean is that you should get your BEST resume into both electronic and paper versions then begin putting it on as many online services as possible. These sites will be working to get you a job 24/7. Then during the day then hit the wanted adds, call friends, friends of friends, etc. Go on every job interview that you can. Tell everyone that you're looking for a job in the area you want and you are available now. In the evening, get your messages off of your phone answering machine, make a listing of all interested parties, answer all e-mail, plan your attack for the next day, which includes making all of the call backs in a professional way. Don't be too pushy, just very interested in the job that you're responding to.
