Hey there vastness; Ok, my question. I work in a very professional office and company. I have recently started a sexual relationship with a coworker that I am certain is not leading to a relationship. My goal, as a woman, is to continue this relationship without the man becoming attached. In my experience, men have become attached more regularly than I have with them. I am very committed to my profession and do not want to let these types of relationships affect my job, however, in this circumstance, I have seen very mixed signals, sometimes it seems we are on the same page, and other times he seems unnaturally attached, I do not regularly have a 'booty call' type person, but at this time in my life, it is most advantageous, so my question is, what are the signs that I should be looking for to know that it is going beyond just a sexual realtionship for him? He occassionally sleeps over, I have never been to his house, we are work friends, but no one knows about our relationship....???

If he starts wanting to "hang around" during the day or when sex is not involved--- he may be taking it a little too seriously. Even if he's saying it's "just friends hangin out".... NOPE! If all you are lookin for is the sex, ANYTIME he wants to be around when sex is obviously NOT going to be the topic of the "date" it may show signs of him getting attached.

Hello!! You need to negotiate with him directly, straight up. Tell him you don't want to get emotionally involved but need the hot sex to keep focus at work. Watch him carefully when he answers and see if you can detect if you believe him or not. I personally can't do the fuck buddy thing but if the two of you can, by all means go for it!!!

when he starts just calling to see how you are... when he starts noticing the other guys your talking to at work... or want to know what you did the other night.. why you didnt answer the phone? when he suggest leaving things of his over at your place..lol.... (just for the record... its a bad idea to have a "booty call" with someone at your work)... you know the saying.. dont fish off the company pier.... lol... we've all done it though.. good luck

are you made out of plastic or some sort of alloy? is he? unless you are both robots then you're just going to have to face the fact that in personal human relationships there is intimacy and the potential for human attachment and hurt is real. sorry, honey, the only solution for you if you want a cold sterile relationship is to get yourself a blow-up doll. they make those for women now. it sounds like it might be the right solution for you.

eh- sounds like you have trouble headed your way. i would suggest ending the "booty call relationship" and find a real one. also, you may think that no one knows about the relationship, but it is very possible that he is telling people. no matter what he says.

i would say no staying over the night at each others house..dates are probably out. jealously of other guys is a no no..wanting to introduce you to his family..probably not a good idea..and i wouldn't call it a relationship..

i think that if it gets to the point where you can't get away from him at work or outside work. or he calls alot, or wants to hang out alot then its time to hang out with me. :-)
