Sorry juvcy, but you do not know the subject. Check information and you'll find out a lot about fasting. Christ was fasting for 40 days. Now people are doing this for many different reasons. I'm not going to fast for 64 days, just wanted to know if it's possible.

Alexa, an average human being can only sustain life for forty days and nights with no nutrition. That is the reason Jesus only fasted for a fortnight. You can fast in other ways besides starvation, such as only consuming liquid foods such as broth or juice extracts. Your heart requires protein and potassium to function correctly and starvation will definitely do cardio damage, personally I don't suggest even thinking about it and I'm sure your doc will tell you the same thing, if you don't mind me asking, why do want to do this ?

Maybe. Depending on how much you weighed beforehand, if you had careful (read: constant) medical monitoring, and proper fluids, vitamins and electrolyte balancing.

Although I certainly wouldn't use the Bible as a means of supporting the idea that this can be done. Provide me with some scientific proof that he spent 40 days and nights in a desert without food and I'll find you a dozen other people who died in thirty days.

It depends entirely on your definition of fasting. Going without any protein intake whatever will kill you in much less time than 64 days. I would like to say that no doctor would be a party to it, but I'm no longer sure.

for 64 days im not sure however I'm 100 percent sure it's possible to go without food for 40 days and nights My mother and I fasted for that amount of time without any health problem matter of fact our overall health improve losing significant body fat and inches off our bodies. scientist believe that after the body goes without protein for 30 days it begins to eat away itself(key Fact) I strongly would recommend talking with a physician before attempting a fast. My advice is to use a juicer to make fruit soothies and check out different website concerning fasting also their other alternatives to supply the body with protein without eating meats. how do vegeterians survive? all different types of supplements in forms of vitamins, shakes etc. True and amazing aspect of fasting to me was learning and understanding when I was truly hungry or eating due to boredom or automatic eating because its lunchtime.

You can live 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water and maybe 3 weeks without food. But you'd still do major damage to your internal organs, skin and hair. Why would you want to do that to yourself??????
