the best outcome would be for all our troops to come home. i dont care how many people disagree or how it would be "failure". the iraqi government is not fixable-our poor men and women will be there forever..and it will just keep getting more and more dangerous. how many more times will a wife have to tell her children daddy wont be coming home? it makes me sick to think it might be me someday (my husband is deployed) with all the money we are spending on a daily basis there HAS to be a better plan. have our men and women protect our country IN our country..im sure a trillion dollars would have covered something pretty damn secure for the united states!

The best possible outcome of the war would be for a stable, democratic government to be set up and have a good base for a strong economy in Iraq. This would help create more stability in all of the middle east. I don't really know if this is even a possibility with how things currently are there, but that would be the best possible outcome of the war.

It doesn't seem like anyone is benefiting right now from the war. It's more of a lose/lose situation. It'll never end. If it stops in Iraq, where will it go after that? What's the best possible outcome? I don't really think there is one at this point.

The best possible outcome is that Iraqi government and people get on their feet and are strong enough to survive without American troops. As for who is benefiting its the Al Qaida and Iran backed terrorists and insurgents. America is sure not benefiting from any thing in Iraq. It isn't about oil like others allude to. If it was just about oil then we wouldn't have troops deployed all over Iraq like we do now. We would have them all stationed in the oil fields and guarding oil tanks and pipelines. Its sad to see answers in this forum from people who just parrot the loony left's rhetoric and do not try to provide meaningful answers.

The crooked bush family benefit because they make money on the oil markets because of the shortages. The only real benefit of the war will be the end of the republican party because of their stubborn insistence that the war continues regardless of the fact that 10 billion a month is wasted and over a hundred lives each month is priceless!

The absolute defeat of the Salafist Jihadists along with a world-wide revulsion in Islam regarding the heresy of "Takfir" being used by the Jihadists to justify Muslim killing Muslim.
If you can't understand most of this, go buy a copy of "Milestones" by Sayiid Qutb and learn something besides the nonsense being peddled by the media morons and the clueless politicians.

One thing is a cruel dictator can be taken out of power. Then again look at the history of enemies of the US....Japan for instance, after the war we rebuilt their country better than before.

if we go out now the sunnis and shiites in iraq with fight and kill each other. there is oil there. we need to solve this problem so there isnt a global war. iran is "friends" with the shiites and they will come in and help the shiites take over if we leave. iran has nuclear weapons which is not good. we need to solve the problem from the two groups. the world is benefiting because nuclear weapons can destroy the earth.
