There are a lot of mental illness that can be inherited; schizophrenia and bio polar are just to name a few.

Are you asking about a methe (methamphetamine) addiction?
You can inherit the tendency towards an addiction (an addictive personaltiy), but not the addiction, unless the mother was using during pregnancy, then the baby can be born addicted.
If you are asking can you inherit a mental problem from your parent, the answer is the same. You might be more likely to develop certain mental illnesses if your parent has one, but there are a lot of factors that determine if you WILL get it. And there are some mental problems that are not genetic in nature. If there is a problem, you can discuss with a doctor what your chances are of actually developing one yourself.

The parents with no mental illness have a child that can develop it. The key is in the social training . Some body types are difficult to fit in with the family body type. Social development becomes different.
