Okay, I recently bleached my hair back to its normalish color, blonde. My hair which is usually in good shape, but after the bleach it is completely fried and breaking. My hair salon gave me about a million products to use, however, i was just curious if there was a way that i could get my hair back to its natural smooth state quicker.
If anyone has any helpful suggestions, it would be GREATLY appreciated (:

Use protein fillers. Redkens CAT and Extreme line. You have to fell your hair up with strength, and than go from there. At first it feels rough, but keep on going for a few weeks and your hair will be strong and smooth. Be very careful styling your hair. If using a thermal device use a thermal protective spray on your hair, otherwise your making your hair more damaged. Also for great shine use Rusk spray shine. Awesome stuff. Professional stylist and manager of a salon
by the way they will not make your hair break.
Ask a redken specialist, the protein in now vegetable orgin, not animal, the animal proteins used long ago broke hair......

Your salon gave you the best they know of to fix your hair.
All I can suggest that you will be able to purchase without a cosmetology license is Redken Heavy Cream deep conditioner. There is a protein rebuilding treatment made by Redken, but you have to be a cosmetologist to purchase it.
I just bleached my hair (4 times) to get the black color out of it...yes it is very fried, but the Heavy Cream helped tremendously, and I use CHI Silk Infusion daily (same thing as BioSilk Silk Therapy...both are made by Farouk Systems). Don't use protein treatments too often though, they will make your hair hard and it'll break even more. I think that might be the problem with the poster a few places above me...she says she uses a treatment 3x a week (WAY TOO MUCH) and her hair is still breaking...my guess is it's deposited too much protein, hardening the hair shaft, and it's breaking off.

i recently did the same thing. AT A SALON!! It was devastating. Ive been using Aveda damage rememdy 3xweekly. I also get hair facials at aveda 1xweek. The problem is.. the hair looks in better condition. But this was a month ago and it still breaks.
Ive also done Organic root stimulator Hair Mayo with an egg.
It really takes time!!

1.Buy a wig
2. Shave all that fried hair off
3. Learn to never let them put chemicals on your hair again.
It might sound drastic but there are no chemicals that will fix this. Your hair is damaged and hair grows from the root. You can spend hundreds of dollars trying to fix it and you will still look like straw head, or just get a cut that is short enough to cut all that fried hair away. Most people end up doing this eventually, getting the hair cut shorter and shorter. Just skip that whole phase and pull a Britney. They all wear wigs these days so you will be vogue. The most important thing is to learn from this lesson.

If its extremely fried..nothing will help it..products can temporarily seal the cuticle to make it appear "healthy" but nothing can fix fried hair. A good trim and especially through the layers can make the hugest difference. One of the products though that can help with the other hair that can be saved and that is overly "porous" is Redkens PPT concentrate, and Anti snap.

shop brushing to a minimum because of the fact it promotes breakage. Brushing moist hair is a different no-no; use a brilliant-toothed comb whilst hair is moist. Step 2 try for low-maintenance hair. Hair dryers, curling irons, perms and hair colors all injury hair. in case you will possibly be able to desire to blow-dry, use a cool placing and shop the dryer 6 inches (15 cm) out of your hair. Step 3 preserve your hair from severe climate. placed on a hat on sunny days and shop hair nicely moisturized in the dry iciness months. Step 4 persist with a go away-in conditioner or pomade to the ends of your hair on a regular basis to maintain them sturdy. Step 5 Snip away any chop up ends you spot. cut back a minimum of a million inch (2.5 cm) above the chop up. A chop up end will chop up the hair all the way as much as the scalp, so snip it as quickly as you spot it. Step 6 time table a trim along with your hairstylist in case you initiate seeing a great form of chop up ends.
