I am looking for the name of a Russian artist who typically paints a clown or clowns that are holding violins. The serographs sell for like 200, so I don't know if that helps. He is older, not new. Don't know if he died or not.

Could it be Marc Chagall? I remember one of his paintings with a floating violin player.
I looked at modern Russian painters, but could not see any pics with clowns. Are you sure he is Russian?
