Any suggestions?

Here’s the deal: If I wanted to paint a painting that represented the stages of a love affair (being alone, the chance meeting, flirting, dating, falling in love, having sex, reaching an apex, then becoming stale, drifting apart, suffering pain and anger, separating, being alone again) and wanted to do so with color sequences that represented each stage, which colors would you choose for each stage?

Your question, to my estimation, can only be answered with how one associates color with feelings.

I'm digging deep for this, I hope it helps.

Being alone or lonely.(they don't call that the blues for nothing)
The chance meeting.(a pale yellow)
Flirting.( A bright sunny yellow)
Dating. ( Spring Green)
Falling in love. (Magenta)
Having Sex. (Cinnamon red hot, red)
Reaching and apex.(Light metalic silver)
Becoming stale.(silver gray)
Drifting apart. ( Mauve)
Suffering pain and anger.( Mourners Purple)
Seperating.( Black)
Being alone again. (Navy blue)

White as purity changing to yellow; pink and red represent passion; green as healing, blue as strength and understanding; and finally purple as wisdom; I really can't assign something for pain and suffering because that is all in the process of learning and maturity which is found in all stages and aspects of life. I suppose brown and black are generally associated with both.
