You may want to edit the question with more information because it is too vague. I'll answer from what is given. If she is your girlfriend then I wouldn't think it would be wrong to ask a question like that, although are you saying you want her to show more skin or are you saying you should ask her over the phone? I'm unclear of the question. Basically if two people are involved in a relationship I don't look at that as an offensive question. She may get offended and think you don't think she looks cute. She may think she is at home in her natural pajamas or whatever, who does she need to impress. Good luck.

It depends on how intimate you two are in a relationship and whether or not she is open to it. If you two never met face to face other than on webcam, then asking her to wear a tankie would be OK. It isn't like you are asking her to go webcam girl for you and it is still in good taste.
