Nutritionists, medical doctors, natural health gurus bamboozle us to no end about "omega-3 fatty acids..", "the surgeon general has determined.." , "triglycerides & HDL".

I am sure, people so much into statistics, and with such genius expertise in the extraction of "control group" data must have amply documented over the past decades the SIGNIFICANT good that their carefully controlled life style has done for them.

So, how much longer do these "control groups" live than you and I ?

Depends on what they advocate. I don't see those advocating hydrolized Spirulina or sun and air as a prime source of nutrition with no requirement of further food intake live very long. But Germany's Dr Max Otto Bruker who advocated a diet of "live" wholefoods and no animal proteins has lived to the ripe old age of 92 even though he only discovered the facts that became his dogma in his fifties (mind you, over-weight, cigar-smoking, roast-devouring Winston Churchill managed 93...).

Most studies out there are short term , not carried long enough/adequate enough to show the big picture. I would love to see a study that determined improvement in the Quality of life (I'm not so much interrested in the length). I bet half the physician/dietitian recommendations aren't worth the bother.
