You need to learn from a master. I'd volunteer, but I'm not getting out of prison until 2023.

There are many things included under the term "Tantra." But the short answer is, yes. Tantric practices can be transformative.

You can learn some things from books. And of course not all books will be of the same quality. But having a teacher and a community is to be valued.

(By the way, technically speaking, ALL of Tibetan Buddhism is Tantra.)
