3.5 years is ONE QUARTER of this poor girl's entire life!!!

This type of age difference is only normal when you're BOTH in your 20's - a year at most is "normal" for ANYONE in their teens!

Besides - what could a 17 year-old and a 14 year-old REALLY have in common? You're looking forward to going on with your life after High School (be it college, a job, or whatever), while she is just getting started!

If you are REALLY sincere about being together when she's 18 - then remain friends until then. Any form of DATING is just creepy and wrong...

I take it you live in Kentucky. It depends on the state laws there and what the age of consent laws that are on the books there. In some states the age of consent is 18 and others it goes down to 16. Even though you are both under the age of 18, you may still be afoul of the law by seeing each other since she is only 14. I would check you local laws on this one.

Well hold on there. Just cause you like each other doesn't mean you need to make plans to get married just yet. It's not exactly normal in your teen years for that much of a difference, but if you think you can handle it, go for it. Make sure that her parents know that you're a good guy though, please, or else they'll probably forbid her to see you. They'll probably think you're too old for her. And don't publicize it. We don't want you to go to prison next year.

3.5 years now is a hell of a lot more different than 3.5 years in say, 2013.....Both of you are at a critical stage of development in your life, and are both maturing at different rates. I'm not saying it couldn't work, but think of the practicallity of dating someone THAT much younger then you while you're still in H.S. she'll be what, a sophomore when you go to college, that's not setting yourself up for relationship sucess.

ANd as for staying a virgin; keep it in your pants. if you don't have sex, then you're still a virgin. it's pretty easy to stay one, a lot easier than workin' game 24/7 to get laid.

" I can keoo it illegak easily possibly we could get married"
not sure what that translates to in english, but if you mean you can get married now, then yes it is ok. if you mean you will get married at 21 and 18, no. you will be in jail before you get married.

If you like her that much then it's normal because I have a step sister that has a boyfreind and there 12 years difference. Don't let that stop you from being together...!!!

I would have a problem with it if she were my daughter.

Three years won't matter in say 5 years.....but right now I wouldn't be comfortable.

It is ok for right now, but as soon as you turn 18, it becomes illegal.
