My nephew just tried to join the Navy and could not make the physical test, you have to run 2 miles in so many minutes, he was a sit around and play computer games the past several years type. He finely joined the Army, If you can breath, they will take you. If you have any sense, you will go for the Air Force, Its an 8-5 Job, excellent Training, and no 6 months at sea.....Nuf Said

I tried to enter the Navy back in '02 and it was not that bad. I just didn't pass because I have arthritis in my ankle from an old injury. They will mostly go by your weight. I suggest you start shaping up now and running etc. or you will be in for a rude awakening when you get to boot camp.

Do you have some time to get in shape? If you have a week or more, go on a short walk each day, and add a little more, such as a block to the walk each time you go. That should help you with the stamina. It will help your breathing and endurance. Start slow, don't do it all at once!!!!
