"We evolved from chimps" would be a stronger statement to me...
because I totally disagree...
Besides, the second statement has got an element of truth to it, when it comes to some/certain people. LOL (not trying to be mean, but I'm sure others would agree.)

Since both statements are false as far as anyone knows, neither is stronger than the other.
The idea that chimps are more intelligent than humans is preposterous.
Most biologists agree that chimps are not our ancestors, and that chimps and human beings both evolved from some common ancestor.

Or is the stronger statement, because the other two are wrong. Humans evolved from apes not chimps.

The second. The first is established fact. Well, it was chimp-like.
And V Dezzed, chimps kill for stupid reasons all the time. They will hunt other primates even when they have plenty to eat, and will kill each other for social primacy. Some even practice cannibalism.

Neither are strong, and both are so weak as there is no truth to either one. WE didnt come from chimps or anything else. God created us with intelligent deisgn. Too much evidence of this to ever be dismissed, besides we believe God and what He says. amen.
Chimps are not more intelligent than we are. God creates us a little higher than the angels. What does that say?
