Nope, that is what pawn shops are for! I would pawn everything I could, but I need my car to go to work and I need food to be strong enough to work.

I would sell the car or go hungry in order to save my dog's life..
You pay the mortgage first, so the dog has a home
Then you buy dog food so the dog has food
Then whatever you have left, goes to the rest of the bills..

absolutely. I have had a few expensive vet bills in my life ($2000 ish) and I had to put it on a credit card and pay it off, and I made do w/out a lot of things till I got that paid off, but it was for my little Murray Zeke the Speed Demon Perfect Kitty and he is worth more to me than anything money can buy so I had no regrets or hesitation about it at all.

When I took my baby girl to raise I make a commitment to her that I would keep her safe, healthy and happy. I will do ANYTHING in my power to make sure I uphold that commitment. If it means taking a second job, selling my possessions, or begging I will make sure she is taken care of.
That is unconditional love. That is the very least I can give her since I know I get it back 100 fold.
But that is the commitment "I" made. Everyone has different priorities in their lives and who am I to judge what is right for them to do. It makes me very sad that others don;t know how rewarding such a sacrifice could be.

I would sell my car, if it ment having my dogs with me and as for going hungry well I've been on a very tight budget before so sure I can live on PB&J!
Well thats the difference between a good pet owner and a really bad one.

No, I do not feel that way. I have gone into debt to pay for vet bills prior to becoming successful. But then again there were boats full of idiots who used to risk their own lives to safe a whale. A few died. So the world revolves due to this diversity.

As long as the car wasn't essential to getting to work so I could continue to support them. I would sell all my other worldly possesions, furniture, gadgets, puter, tv, & even my blood, if I had to. I would also beg, borrow or (pleading the fifth here) if I had to. My dog is as important to me as any other person in my family. I've even worked three jobs at once to keep my responsibilities, my kids and my pets, cared for.

Absolutely!!!!! I would gladly sell everything I own without a second's hesitation if it would save my dog. The dog "parents" who don't see it that way are not dog "parents".

Yes,gladly. One of my dogs is lost right now;she's been lost for a month, and if someone offered me a million dollars or my dog coming home,I'd take my dog without a second thought, even though I could really use the money. It's love that's important, not material things. And,yes, people who don't have compassion for their animals make me sick!

Without hesitation. I'd get a second job, take out a second mortgage, whatever it would take. It makes me sad that people who have pets don't give them the same consideration they would any other member of the family. Why bother having them?

I put money aside into a savings account just for that one day when something happens. And I have an Italian Greyhound, so when something happens, it's gonna be an expensive something, like a leg break...
