the great thing about Buddha (and all enlightened ones) isn't what they can tell you, it's in their consciousness. If you still have to ask a question of an enlightened person, you are not near enlightenment yourself and only that will put your mind at peace.

Is enlightenment a bit like masturbation? Anyhow where's wise come into it? He's skint, fat and has no hair, what's wise about that? What's with the orange clothing for the troops too? Must say though, those Shaolin guys are pretty cool, they're buddhist right? All said, I feel their reputation is somewhat hyped. I've seen the quality of Asian steel, it wouldn't make a good paperclip, let alone arm a bunch of monks on speed. And all that leaping about, what's going on there? Good job they never came up against the Romans. Honestly, I ask you.

Dear Lord Buddha, could you please do something about the so called "support" services of big IT companies?
I wish you a very good day.

I echo Comrade Abdul's thoughts.
I've known a few enlightened masters, and you just have to be in their presence to be uplifted. How much more so with Shakyamuni?
(Of course, there's always the chance of Transmission.)
But no, I would have nothing to ask. Just to be there would be enough.

I would ask him what makes him laugh.
A trivial question, but I think it might get an interesting response.

I don't think I'd need to. He laid out his philosophy pretty well during his lifetime, leaving far less ambiguity than other religious figures. Obviously there are personal questions I could ask him, but I'd rather not waste his time with them.
