Someone told me that even though most people can read and listen to music at the same time, it's bad for your brain. This kinda makes sense, because it can be hard to really focus on both at once. However, this person is not someone who is likely to know fact from myth, so can anyone clear this up for me?

I have heard that a little multitaksing is ok because it helps you brain to stay active and it can help prevent alzheimers and stuff like that.

well, it's true that you might have a hard time concentrating on music and reading at the same time, and although this probably isn't good for your brain, i doubt it's "bad" for it.

nope. but for some it's harder to concentrate to do both, for others, they 're not only read and listen to music, but also talking on the phone, etc.

it's not bad for your brain, it just doesn't let you get as much done as if you were doing each thing individually.
