ok so my parents are away and they left me baby sitting we were outside and my bro came in side and took a nap when he woke up his ear was red and swollen and it just keep getting bigger and bigger right now his ear is hanging over please help me thanks

you need to contact emergency personel as soon as possible....it could be an allergic reaction or as i've personally have happen an infection. Ear tissue is nothing but tough cartiledge and if to much fluid gets in and seperates the cartiledge than the results can be permaninate.....your parents will not be mad at you for making an error on the side of caution...if it truley is nothing the ems personel will look at it and say its not a big deal if it is you've did the right thing...

First, ask him has anything bit him. He could have just gotten stung by something. Put some ice on it to keep the swelling down. Call the hospital or even a nurses helpline describe the problem and go from there. Or you can go to webmd and do the symptom checker. Best of luck. Sorry couldn't be more help.

Call your mom and let her know something bit him and his ear is swollen. If you have permissions and old enough you need to take him to the ER once you get off the phone with mom.

yeah call your parents and let them know and then procede to a medical facility to get your brother treatment. Dont walk RUUUNNNNNNN to get treatment because if you dont there is a chance it could get even worse because anything involving the ears can lead to some hearing damage if not treated

Can you not get a hold of your parents? In this age of cell phones I find that hard to believe. You need to take him to a doctor or an emergency room. Evidently he has an infection of some kind. This is my way of answering. Hope it helps.

i think he was bit by something. you really need to get him to an emergency room. his life could be at stake. if you do nothing and something bad happens you will be held liable with your parents and possibly authorities. call 911 or have a neighbor take you to the hospital.

don't just sit there, contact another adult relative or get a neighbor or someone over there to help ! you might want to get your brother to the hospital emergency room? if he is allergic, his breathing could become labored.

what does " ear hanging over " mean? Did someone cut it almost off or something?
If it's just swollen, find out if it was bitten by a bug, or if he got in a fight, or stung by a bee.
