I used to own a Kitchen Aid, and was always very happy with it. I am looking to get a new stand mixer and I am considering the Kitchen Aid once again or the Sunbeam Heritage series mixer. Does anyone have any information on the Sunbeam? I am very uncertain. I love to bake, cakes, cookies, pies, breads, etc... but I do it for my family and friends not for professional uses. Any suggestions?

Stick with Kitchen Aid it is much stronger - lasts longer and has a better variety of expansion tools. I have had both and sold my Sunbeam at a yard sale I was so disappointed in it.

You owned a Kitchen Aid and you were happy with it...why switch? I wouldn't trade mine for the world - love it, love it, love it. I have the professional series and the thing won't die...stick with what you know and like. Sunbeam can't touch the quality of the Kitchen Aid.

Kitchen Aid, Kitchen Aid, Kitchen Aid!!!!! The best. I have had both the Sunbeam and the Kitchen Aid, and believe me you can't compare the two!

Unless you are going to bake heavy doughs consistently, you don't need to invest $300 in a stand mixer. You should mix your doughs by hand. You really only need a stand mixer if you are going to do a steady amount of heavy mixing that would burn up your hand mixer. The difference is a heavy-duty motor on a stand mixer than can turn dough without burning up.

Go with the Kitchen Aid. Especially if you can find one that any attachments you already have will fit.

my husband had bought his mom the kitchenaid stand mixer and that thing works so good. it can mix darn near anything you can think of. you also can get a lot of attachements for the mixer as well.
