Do you need proof that the bible is real? Does it really matter if we have proof or not?
Whether we have proof that the bible exists or not, it's not the point. Religion is about faith. Can we ever really have concrete proof that any religion exists?
You believe whatever it is you want to believe. I believe in Christianity and I've never been shown proof. Religion is about a leap of faith and trust. The same with most other religions.
The point is, we don't know if its genuinely "real" or not. To me, I don't care. I would like to believe that there is a heaven, a god, and even a hell. I know that everything in between exists, so I take a chance that everything at the end exists.

first of all, i don't consider my faith a "religion" it's a relationship with Jesus.
and it bothers me when people blindly say they believe in Jesus. they need to take a look at the facts and make an educated decision and know WHY they believe what they believe!
I believe that the Bible is real and that it is 100% true. think about it...
There were:
~66 books written by more than 40 authors
~Each with different levels of education, social position, age and style of writing
~From 10 countries, 3 different continents and using 3 different languages
~The Bible includes over 3,000 characters, 1,500 places and hundreds of topics
~Authors lived at different times over a period of 1,600 years
AND IT'S ALL CONSISTANT!!
ABOUT THE PROPHECIES
"There are approximately 2,500 prophecies in the bible, 2,000 of which have already been completely fulfilled- 100% - exactly the way the Bible said they would!!!!!!! The remaining 500 speak of future events"
The prophesies about Jesus being born and dying on the cross, and coming back to life 3 days later, were written MANY years before Jesus was even born.
"the chance of 1 man fulfilling just 8 Old Testament prophecies has been calculated at 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 '(one hundred million billion - a number which is millions times greater than the total number of people who have ever walked the planet !)." wow! to put it is perspective:
"If you took this number of silver dollars , they would cover the state of Texas 2 feet deep. If you marked one silver dollar among the, then had a blindfolded person wander the whole state and bend down to pick up 1 coin, what would be the odds he'd choos ethe one that was marked? This is the same odds that anyone in history could have fulfilled just 8 of the prophecies ! The probability of fulfilling 48 prophecies was one chance in a trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion ! That's one chance in a 1 followed by 157 zeroes!" that's bigger than a GOOGLE, guys!!!"
Quotes from www.suffering.net, becuase they said it so well, i didn't want to rephrase it!
God Bless

There is faith in Christianity. I believe the Bible to be true bc it says it is. That may not mean much to you, but every belief system has an axiom, an assumption that they make on which everything else is built. However, my assumption has proven to be reliable, the Bible has never been refuted in archaeology, in fact one person remarked that Luke was an historian of the first rank. In addition, no one has been able to refute the resurrection, I've seen some try, and they've failed. If Jesus didn't rise from the dead, Christianity never would've gotten started, so how did it if Jesus didn't rise again? Would the disciples have died for what they knew was a lie? I doubt it. I doubt Saul would've converted and wrote 2/3 of the New Testament, which bears a lot of wisdom, if he didn't know for sure Jesus was the Christ.

No proof honey, but tons of evidence.
Such as:
1. The Test of Prophecy. The single greatest evidence lending to the veracity of the Bible's claims of divine inspiration is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy as verified by secular history.
2. Archeology. The Bible also recounts the distant past with great accuracy. As such, archeology has been a source of great vindication for the Bible.
3. Credibility of authors. Consider the integrity of the Bible's authors, men who claimed to be inspired by God. Take for example Luke, he is regarded as an authoritative historian, one of the greatest of antiquity. Also consider the martyrdom of many of these authors. Think about it, no one knowingly dies for a lie.
4. Accuracy of the manuscripts. There are many thousands of Biblical manuscripts (5,500+) which are copies of the originals. It is best to think of manuscripts as descendants of the originals. Each generation hand-copied their own. The originals became damaged or worn and were destroyed. After careful examination, it can be concluded that the New Testament is 99% pure from the origonal manuscript.

Proof is a scientific term. One can't prove or disprove theological beliefs. At the same time, no one can disprove them either. If you are really interested in a well thought out answer to your question, please get a copy of Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (he wrote the Chronicles of Narnia) and carefully read the section about his transformation from hardcore atheist to Christian. His argument for the existence of God is pretty strong. By the way, who would you rather have as a neighbor you could trust: An 18-year old Christian who practices the Christian faith, or an 18-year old atheist?

God has proved it to be true to me on a personal level of experience. That's all I need. God is who He says He is. God will do what He says He will do. Why do some people have such a hard time putting their trust in the one true God and Creator. They have more trust in the car they drive, which could malfunction in a zillion different ways while going 70 MPH down a freeway along side others doing the same. God is so much more dependable. The whole idea of faith is to step out in trust.....the proof comes later. Ask any Christian, whether they just got saved or ask a seasoned Christian and be ready to sit a while and listen to their experience with trusting God. Ever wonder why you can't persuade a Christian to deny Christ and follow "whatever"? It's because God has proved Himself to them. There's nothing more or better to seek, once you find God and begin a personal relationship with Him. He is the one constant you can rely on. And when you know His love and care for you it is more than you can take in. You gamble with you life everyday you step outside and think nothing of it. Why not gamble on the One Who can take your life or give it, bless you or curse you, give you abundantly more than you ever imagined or withdraw it all in an instant, protect you or withdraw His protection, and on and on. I would ask "what do you have to lose?" but, of course that would be eternal life. May you seek the One who truly loves you and find Him soon.

I can not show you the proof that the Bible is real. God's spirit lives within me 24/7 and He has told me that certain parts are truth. I don't know about the rest yet...He fills me in when I need to know.
People who have a personal relationship with God have no way to prove anything to you or anyone else but they know...and that is what really matters.

"YOUR proof that YOUR Bible"???
If we told you and show you actual factual proof...would you believe then?
The proof is in the history books, the archaeologial discoveries, and prophetic fulfillments of the Scriptures themselves.
The best thing to do for YOU...is seek for YOUR OWN proof. Search it out and you will find the truth out for YOURSELF and come to the same conclusion as thinking, rational people all over the world that the Bible is the Word of God.
I dare you to seek...you will find

what is the proof that books on evolution are real? you want proof that the bible is real? then you will have to do what many of its characters have done. When you die you will know if it was real or not.
Proof in the bible is what evolutionary books do not tell of or give- instruction!!! follow the bibles instructions and you will know that it is truly real. but, until then, experience it!

All the proof I need and love lies within my heart. It is The Holy Spirit who gives me understanding of The Word of God, comfort when I need it, and joy that surpasses all understanding. Faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation that I live on. There is no shaky ground under my feet. God's Word has proved itself over and over and continues to do so with all the prophecies that have come about and are even unfolding today. Don't let satan deceive you with his cunning lies. Open your heart to Truth in Jesus. God bless you
