I've installed tons of them, but my friend did a blazer with an alarm, and it completely locked up the ignition. I didnt know if the alarm system would make that happen, because that would suck!!!

The alarm and anti-theft system have nothing to do with the radio, in a Blazer or an Impala. If your friend had ignition problems after installing a radio, then something was mis-wired.

The Impala is equipped with a GM data-bus type radio, so unless you use one of the expensive adapter modules or a relocation harness, you'll lose all audible warning chimes when the radio is removed. But even if you don't use a data bus adapter, you shouldn't have any problems with the alarm or anti-theft system.

its real easy idk if u ever put a cd player in eny other car befor but all u do is take the dash section off then the trim around the cd player unscrue it unplug it then just slide the new 1 in u might need to pull on the old 1 a lil to get it out but overall its prety easy
