why do guys get intimidated by girls in general and y? and also y do u guys get intimidated wen u see a pretty girl?

ive always wanted to know that as well, and my boyfriend told me before i knew him, he was always scared to talk to me cuz he thought i would never talk to "a guy like him", or with "low" standards, but he was wrong.
so im guessin their intimidated becuz their scared pretty girls won't look down on guys who are sensitive and sweet, but its just the opposite, for me at least. not all pretty girls go for the jock stuck up type, :]

LMAO!!! AN EXCELLENT QUESTION!!! AND I WILL BE DELIGHTED TO ANSWER THIS ONE FOR YOU.
MEN are not actually intimidated by a pretty girl / woman.
But . . . . "WUSSIES" ARE.
A guy who THINKS he is not WORTHY of a pretty girlfriend, will feel uneasy & shy about approaching her . . . even though she doesn't mean anything to him yet.
So your question only pertains to CERTAIN types of males. . . . the guys that THINK they don't belong (or cannot GET) a pretty girl to take interest in them.
Now, isn't that a little too rediculous to be true??
YES! I think so too.
But that's exactly why guys are SHY around GREAT LOOKING WOMEN. Because they get the MOST attention form OTHER guys, and a "nice guy" (or insecure wussy) will have a mental block in his head that BECAUSE she is pretty, he cant possibly have a chance of making her feel MORE ATTRACTED than the guy who has NO fear or intimidation.
But you and I both know that nothing could be further from the truth.
So now you know why guys are intimitated by a pretty girl.
She gets alot of attention from men,
And HE has the WRONG idea in his head
that he can't compete with all the men
who "compete for HER".

For most guy's it's not intimidating it's being cautious. Why? We meet to many pretty women with major issues. There either very high maintenance or have serious attitude problems like there gods gift to men. They like it to be all about ME....What will you do for ME, What will you buy ME where will you take ME. Us and we isn't in there vocabulary.

fear of rejection pure and simple --- we always assume that there will be plenty of admirers and that we will be pushed out as we are for some reason not good enough --- yet sometimes we are just the right "fit" for her personality --- it happened to me my lady is very beautiful and never someone i would have approached yet the attraction on both sides was instant and i dearly hope long term

They prob think we are really big headed from lots of attention and that we are going to cut them right down if they approach us!...Coz some girls are really cruel and iys uneccessary...you can turn someone down in a NICE way , consider their feelings and all....but if they approach in a bullish disrespectful way then they deserve to be cussed!
Anyway , i think it all boils down to fear of rejection which we all have really

I'm not a guy, but if a guy sees a pretty girl he could think "oh she's totally out of my league" or "Gosh she would never like a guy like me" or "I could never get a girl like that."

Duh, because we are hot ! And basically, they think we are unapproachable. So if you like someone that is not approaching you, go in for the kill. That is what I do.
