Are Western civilizations more gullible than Asian ones?

Do a higher percentage of people in China die of cancer, or just more people? But, to answer your question, I believe that people put stock in "Eastern Cures" because they are mysterious and it may make the affected feel special or like they're getting a treatment other people with the same problem aren't. You know what I mean mean? Besides, there are plenty of "Western Cures" that don't really work all the time. In fact, I wouldn't say that any cure works all the time.

I have seen that Eastern cures are a bit of a fad right now, but the majority of people do not seek asian remedies to cure cancer.
More people in china die of cancer because there are many more people there. The percentage of population that dies is still less than in the usa.
It also depends on the type of cancer, and what caused it. Radiation? Smoking?
It is possible that more people die of cancer in China because we westerners die of heart disease before we ever get a chance to die of cancer.

Western Medicine owes a lot of its knowledge to "Asian Traditional Medicines". You must remember that the Catholic Church would not allow some ideas to be espoused and that kept "Western Medicine" behind.
The treatment for Malaria was learnt from the Chinese. The use of anaesthetic was practised by Chinese well before Western Medicine took it up.
Acupuncture often works where Western Drugs do not. Moxubustion also works in many areas where western drugs are useless or only partially working.
Sometimes a combination of Western and Eastern medicine is the best treatment for an illness or medical problem.

I don't spend any time eating tiger bones or panda penises or drinking cobra venum.
Chinese people also smoke more.
And their factories spew more pollution and toxins into the air, water, and food chain.
They also have terrible communist medical facilities.
I suppose their only claim to medical fame is the ready supply of fresh organs from all of the condemned prisoners that they shoot and then cut open while they are still bleeding (and sometimes even breathing).

China has ALOT more people, so naturally more of them would die of cancer.
