I've replaced the radiator, the fan clutch, the thermostat, yes the electric fan comes on when it should, it does have the right amount of coolant in it, either the camshaft positioning sensor or the crankshaft positioning sensor whichever one is on top of the transmission has been replacedand also the main computer board thing has been replaced. Why does it keep getting hot? As long as im moving it's ok but as soon as i sit for awhile like at a stop light or drive thru the temp guage starts to climb way above 210 like 220-250. Any suggestions?

The only thing left is the water pump. I've seen pump impellers that were worn away to the point that they didn't circulate the coolant unless the engine was above idle. The only other thing that comes to mind is the coolant. Did you mix it 50/50 with water? Or did you buy it already mixed. Straight antifreeze does not cool as good as the 50/50 mix.

Actual measured temp at the top hose or a 19 year old temp sender and 19 year old dash board gauge? 230/240 is not high for a engine that has to meet emissions standards? Your Jeep However should run 210 drgrees with a 14 pound radatior cap that is a new cap right? You know how small the radatior is. Does it actually boil into the resv? If it does then test for combustion by products in the steam. You bad gasket or cracked cyl head might tempt you into a new car...

Ok..have too much experience with this and I would guess, much worse with the A/C on. THe problem...NOTHING ELSE WRONG, is lack of air flow and air recirculation at a stopped conditioni.1. First and formost, do you still have the fan shroud on and is it NOT CRACKED OR MISSING ANY PIECES?? 2. Unfortunately this is not that uncommon problem, but I am going on the assumption that everything is OK in the engine. 3. You replaced the fan clutch..did you replace it with a HD Thermal unit or a cheap one?? No, I am NOT talking down to you, but it is important to use the HD clutch. 4. The problem is so common in the South that there are Three row HD radiators available..Hesco comes to mind.5. http://www.mallcrawlin.com/forum//showthread.php?t=6355, go around half way down and you can see two solutions that do work. 6. There is one more that I am currently testing with the modified clutch, but I do not want to post here until I am sure of effectiveness.
Good Luck

run the moter for a few minutes with the radiater cap removed to see if coolant is actually circulating. also watch the radiater for signs of air bubbles in the coolant. air bubbles would be a indication of head gasket. also remove the temp senser and install a aftermarket temp gauge test drive. see if it reads the same as the dash gauge did email me after and i will help you to finish the diag if you wish

has the thermostat been replaced with another that is set for too high of a temp. or there might be a clog somewhere in the coolant piping.

You replaced the bottom radiator hose and left the spring out that keeps it from collapsing from pump suction.

do you have the right type of coolant in the vehicle? do you have the right radiator cap (15lbs?) & the right t-stat (195). is the gauge reading right? do you have a blown head gasket? do you have a check engine light on? dose it feel like its overheating - bucking, shaking, coolant smell, running bad?
