Its only found in the Word of God.
Why are so many of God's people so comfortable with their spiritual lives following the teachings of men? (i.e. your pastors, teleevangelists, authors, etc).
Take heed:
"And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2 Thess 2:10-12
" Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" 1 Timothy 4:1
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables" 2 Timothy 4:3,4

I exalt the Word of God over the Word of man. I follow Jesus and not man. So to those of you who thought I was condemning anyone I was not. I asked why do MANY (not all) take the word of men over the Word of God. If you were offended for any reason, for me saying I take the Word of God over the Word of men then perhaps you need to check your spiritual pulse.
The Apostle Peter said "We ought to obey God rather than men" Acts 5:29

Well, I don't ask questions like that so I can't answer THAT question. You are aware that, logically, evolution is ridiculously impossible? What I wonder is, "Why don't any of these evolution followers ever explain how in the world a cell 'decides' to do something other than replicate itself correctly?" In fact, that process is often called, "Cancer" and it KILLS the host organism. Seriously, we have all kinds of general "this mutated into this, which in turn mutated into this" junk floating around but has anyone ever OBSERVED an organism evolving? Not genetic selection, now, that's not what I'm talking about. Sure, if only tall people get married and have children, populations will get taller. But explain to me at what identifiable point cells start changing on their own and species "become new species." At what point does the little legless organism's DNA decide, "I think we'll grow some nubs today. Ready guys? Okay. MUTATE!" How about, "wonder twin powers, activate?? Form of ______ Shape of ______" I'm obviously not a scientist. But I'm asking a serious question. Show me how this works on a cellular level and show me the duplication results. Then I'll be willing to consider this "theory" as a viable idea.

(I think I like it better to council or pray for people face to face where the Holy Spirit is able to convict them to Truth)
Compassion and empathy only goes so far before we just wipe our feet on the mats and leave them to consider Truth shared and to let God's Will be done.
Prayer is all we can do for some, for their hearts are hardened and they are more comfortable with their woes then to walk without them and draw close to God for healing and victory.
God have mercy, but it does indeed seem that I have seen more of it in the last few years then ever before.

I dunno, maybe it's because of what I've read in the Bible.
Ephesians 4:11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,
Of course it's good to follow the example of the Bereans like I did when considering an answer to your question.

Were Jesus walking among us today saying: "Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Pope and "reverends", you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven", they would shout "Crucify, crucify" and hand Him over to the terrorists for decapitation.
Human nature has not changed since Able offered a righteous sacrifice at the cost of His life.

The only Truth is from the Word of God. I will listen and try to be fed by those preaching. I always pray to be taught something while listening. But I ALWAYS refer to the Word for verification.
We all need our alone time with Him for verification, clarification, and purification.

I know what you are saying, but we cannot judge ALL the Christian writers of heresies.
There ARE a ton of writers that have material published that I would not even use in the outhouse.
