i always say stick the registry, that is what she wants.

however, i am often fond of scrapebook gifts. she is your best friend and this gives you a chance to spend time after the wedding. you can look at the pictures, make the pages look pretty, it really is a lot of fun. you should know her tastes and her color scheme for the wedding so picking out pages and stickers should be easy. but if you are unsure, i would get her a gift card to a scrapebook store and offer to go with her.

another idea is to plan a girls day out with her. is she feeling stressed about the upcoming day? give her movie tickets, restaurant gift card, maybe even a spa card. :)

I would stick to the registery, and maybe throw something personal in that you know she would love. My personal favorite thing to do for friends getting married or having a baby, is get one thing on the list like a basket or a large bowl and fill it with little things, then you can throw in little personal things as well as stuff they are registered for.

If she's your best friend, then you should be able to come up with a gift that says "I know who you are"...people love to receive a gift that tells them you listen when they talk. Something really personal is best, but back it up with something off the registry.

A flirty or sexy lingerie is fun and good to open at the shower. Don't forget the self help book for newlyweds, I have had friends really thank me for "advice" books I have given them.
