A stoup? A stoop in Philly is 4-5 steps where people sit out & talk to their neighbors. Is that what you mean?

its a fancy basin to put water in to baptise - sprinkle babies, children or adults with

personally i think its rude to flick water at people... if i have to get wet i'd rather go for a complete dunk in a pool
