yes and yes.

as the native americans have shamans and peyote experiences i have had similar experiences with the supernatural.

i believe that some "mind altering" stuff can and does open your brain to extra sensory perception and the ablility to contact supernatural "beings' if you will. i was never particularly strong in my beliefs of God, religion etc...but after those experiences, seeing apparitions and speaking with what i know to be the spirits of the fallen angels, i began to take a harder look at all religions in general and my belief system. i'm not a churchy preacher type, but i know the bible to be accurate and written by men inspired by God.

the book of Enoch solidified my belief system as it explained so much about so many things, fallen angels, the knowledge they brought down to the ancients etc...even if you're not a 'believer' i suggest you read it. lots of supernatural wonders explained and it's a good read.

i have never looked back and i enjoy life and look forward to the transfiguration of all souls into a new and glorious age without murdering raping scum, disease, death starvation etc...

I have had several. The first & most profound was at 20. I was driving to church, talking with God as was my habit. I had been doing a lot of study lately about the concept of oneness. I told God my head thought it understood but I wanted to really feel that oneness. I don't know how I got to the church. Suddenly I did feel it & I felt this tremendous knowledge. I knew if someone had been there to ask specific questions I could have told them the answer, but I had no questions of myself because of this overwhelming Peace I felt. I was very young & really did not understand what had happened, only that I had been touched by the Spirit. I felt as if God where telling me I was headed in the right direction. I have had other experiences, all profound & all life changing.I truly feel blessed, you can't get here from where I came from, I just was not able get from point A to point B on my own.

Had one just yesterday. The realization of how I repeat my mother's and grandfather's masochistic tendencies (worrying over everything). I hadn't looked at it from that particular perspective yet. It was liberating, as those insights always are. The realisation of the illusory nature of those worries, that they are caused by a pattern, just threw me out of it and there's a quiet and calm inside me that I haven't experienced for some time now.

Yes, I have. This mind 'opening' experience showed me how much energy I expended upholding my 'self importance' and if I could free my energy from maintaining my 'self importance', I could catch a glimpse of the actual Grandeur of The Universe, which I did.............. I found myself having an OBE, and looked back at the Earth from a far distance... Earth looked bout the size of Jupiter in our night sky from where I was, fully conscious, and I of course thought I had died, but low and behold! ......back in the body! This 'opened the doors of perception' for me, changed my thinking entirely! I now consider myself a Universe Citizen instead of US Citizen. Yall ain't seen nothing yet! When you're moving in 'the positive' your destination is the brightest star...................
WOW! Chilling story above me! That is WONDERFUL ;you actually communicated to your son in your spirit state. Awesome!

Hello sweet Mithra.. :)

My son moved back to Phoenix, Arizona by bus, last November 2006. I awoke around 2:30 am, by the Lord speaking to my heart, to pray for my son.

So I got up and went into my living room and started praying and crying for him, that is when I felt my spirit leaving my body and I was carried away to New York City.

I saw my son, as 5 homeless people started to surround him, so I called out to him, to yell for help.

That is when I was hovering over my son in the spirit and I cried out to God to please send someone, to help my son.

Then just as I said thank-You Lord, I was back in my body. I was crying and shaking on my living room floor.

My phone rang around 3:00 am and it was my son, he told me that the bus stopped in New York and he was going for a walk to get some fresh air.

When he was going to cross the street, some homeless people told him, that they were going to rob him, he said heard someone tell him, to yell for help, so he yelled, a police officer came to his aid and the homeless people ran away.

I shared with my son what took place in my home, here New Hampshire..He said he could hear someone telling him to yell for help, but he could not see who it was.

I know that if I had not listened to the still voice of the Lord, that my son may not be here with us today. :)

I came out of back surgery "knowing" what I hadn't known before. I was a Fundie up till then. My mind is now open and free. My consciousness has expanded and is still growing. I see truth and I see lies. Tell us about yours.

I once went to sleep wondering why kashrut is so important to my religion. After the dream I had that night, I never wondered again.

No.
But if I did, how would I know it wasn't a psychotic episode?
