There are no dietary restrictions for Christians except for eating blood and things strangled (because the blood is not drained) and things sacrificed to idols.
The Apostles wrote this to the (Gentile) Church:
"It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell."
Acts 15:28-29
Jesus declared all foods clean:
"Are you so dull?" he asked. "Don't you see that nothing that enters a man from the outside can make him 'unclean'? For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")
He went on: "What comes out of a man is what makes him 'unclean.' For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.' "
Mark 7:18-23
Paul writes to Timothy:
"The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer."
I Timothy 4:1-5
"Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ."
Colossians 2:16-17

KC this is a BIBLE STUDY all by itself.. because u have to know the value of the O>T> but let me start with the story where JESUS allowed a group of demons to destroy a herd of hogs... did JESUS make a mistake? or was HE doing those people a favor? when PETER had his trance of unclean animals, did he change his diet? Peter provided the meaning to that dream, it applied to people..not animals.. so when u also read that before Abraham was 'I AM' was there as JESUS, WE find that the I AM was the one who told Moses about HIS health principles.. and did they have a desease problem? only when they indulged themselves..with quail..or some other sin.. so in answer to your question follow the principles in the BIBLE, abstain from animals that do not chew the cud and do not have acloven hoof. they must have and do both. stay away from scavenger fish, a clean fish has fins and scales, and from predatory birds.the rule of thumb is the animals that eat other animals or waste are not for food. read the BIBLE and find out.. and if anyone tells u this is bunk, and we don't have to do this, u don't .. but if u want to be as healthy as u can be, and honor GOD in all u do, this will be ur guide.by the way all grown plants that are edible are fine..hmm why do you say? because GOD'S original plan was for us to be vegetarians.. it is in the book of Genesis. and thos e who choose to indulge themselves are doing that, placing their own lustful desires above the WORD OF GOD.. like Eve and then Adam. and the first test for JESUS? appetite..and HIS was over bread when HE was starving...go figure..

It sounds like you already know the answer to that question. You've read Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14...haven't you?
Did Jesus eat any of those things? What would Jesus do?
Christians follow the Christ, the Divine Pattern and if you do as he did you can never be led astray.
There are those who say Christians are not bound to those Old Testament regulations but then again I ask you, What would Jesus do?
Pork, shellfish, etc are unhealthy. Period. Do the research, it is not hidden.
If God wanted you to eat these unclean things why are they infested with disease????? They are not fit for human consumption. We serve a common sense God. Did not Jesus heal diseases?? The Word is clear.
No good thing will God withhold from his children...remember that.

I don't believe there is anything we are not allowed to eat , going by Peters vision.
Acts 10:9-16
9About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
14"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
15The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
16This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

"Are there some ingredients Christians are not meant to consume?" particular, it truly is real. Leviticus financial disaster 11 lists the nutritional regulations God gave to His human beings. those nutritional policies have been meant to word to everybody whom needed to stay the form of healthful existence God meant for guy -- in spite of sin. in basic terms as God does not substitute -- His regulation does not substitute. If swine's flesh (etc.) became risky for His human beings in the past the bypass, why would that adjust after the bypass? Christ did not die to make swine's flesh clean. some human beings think of Jesus later announces all ingredients clean (Mark 7:18-23) yet this could be a pretend impact of Jesus' reason. To be "defiled" ability to become undeserving for Heaven. What you placed into your mouth, as a result, isn't that form of defilement. it truly is what comes out of the minds and hearts of adult males which somewhat defiles them. yet, this does not substitute the reality that we ought to continuously in elementary terms placed into our mouths that which will glorify God and His temple -- our bodies (I Corinthians 3:sixteen; I Corinthians 6:19). some human beings additionally think of those well-being policies not word, as of the hot Testement, as a results of fact God gave the apostle Peter a imaginative and prescient wherein He announces with regards to in the past unclean animals, “do not call something impure that God has made clean” (Acts 10:15). in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, those comparable human beings forget approximately what Peter, himself, says the two in the process the imaginative and prescient and later in Acts 10:28. In different phrases, the imaginative and prescient became symbolic and unclean flesh ingredients have been nevertheless unclean. some human beings additionally attempt to declare that, whilst Jesus died on the bypass, He placed an end to the old testomony regulation (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:24-26; Ephesians 2:15). it truly is likewise a pretend impact of God's word (Romans 3:31; Romans 6:a million,2; Romans 6:14,15; Romans 7:6-7,12-13).

Anything that can kill you...don't eat. Really Christians are not bound to Jewish dietary laws of the Old Testament. Common sense applies. If your doctor says you are alergic to srimp...then don't eat srimp.

Well, I can't comment on that kitten line. Why don't you pray and ask God if there are any foods he wants you to avoid. Hopefully, he will be able to answer you through the Holy Spirit.
