I was just driving down a busy city street and again almost hit a crotch rocket. I was behind another van. I drive a minivan with two small kids. There was a group of 5 or 6 idiots on crotchrockets. They were swerving in and out of traffic. It was like a race to them they were putting everyone on that road in danger including my children i don't take that lightly. This isn't the first time either one of these days i'm gonna end up plowing one of them some day and it will be their fault.

Matt- sorry to tell you yes it will cause less damage to my van but odds are the person on the bike won't make it. which would make me the bad guy because for some stupid reason people who are driving the cars are expected to watch out for them BS they should be watching for us, it's difficult enough to drive in the city without those idiots on the streets too.

your not the only one that thinks they should be banned. Just because someone comes up with an idea like building these things doesn't mean it is a good idea

It would be much more effective to ban idiocy. The trouble is that the ban isn't very well enforced. Some types will find ways to drive like dangerous lunatics whether given a sport bike, a dirt bike, or Mom's hand-me-down Honda Civic. At least a GSXR-600 is going to do a lot less damage in a crash than a Civic.

So called crotch rockets are not street legal in Southern California. Call your local Highway Patrol or police dept. and ask them. If they're illegal where you live, call the HP or PD when you come across someone riding one on city streets. If you're concerned with being a snitch, think about how much worse you will feel when you attend a funeral and see the grieving parents of a dead child.
Been there!!!

Well then you would have to ban just about every mode of transportation; because there are idiots operating every type of vehicle including mini vans.

They can't outrun a radio so call the police when you see them. If you can get a license plate number, it helps.

I know that some of them are dangerous drivers, but so are some people in cars. I think outlawing them is a little much. Especially since they take a lot less gas than your minivan does, which is better for the environment.

We can't go around outlawing everything otherwise why don't we just hand over the country to the communists.

In a minvan, you probably will come out the winner by far.
We ought to maintain some scope for Darwinian action to occur.
