Supposedly 21 (the legal age limit)
but usually, now that a lot of people go off to college then usual its just about between 17-18.
Teens go off and live in dorms...\but i prefer 21
you know, still get accommodations with your parents. LIVE OFF OF YOUR CASH AND YOUR PARENTS..

In todays society I don't think there is any really given age. There are many factors that play into whether they live on their own or even if they can live on their own.
Are they going to college? Are they working? Are they ready to be on their own? Have you prepared them for all they will face financially on their own?
Some are ready at 18 to be on their own. I was 20 by the time I felt everything was stable enough and set up enough to live on my own. My husband was just 18. I have a nephew that is 25 and still lives at home so he can afford to finish up his teaching degree at university and not have to worry about working to pay rent and buy food as well as studies. I also have a niece that is 22 but she is just not ready emotionally or financially to be on her own and her parents are ok with that. She pays a small rent fee to cover their bills and looks after the house while they are working.

either 17 or 18. A lot of kids move out when they finish high school and go off to college.

I was 19, I moved out because I was pregnant, so my kids' dad and I got a place together. My older sister was 25 before she moved out, and she moved in with her fiance.
My weird uncle, he's lived at home his whole life, he's almost 60. Sleeps in a twin bed in the same room he slept in as a kid. He's never even had a girlfriend.
