Recently my boyfriend's dad was not in good health, so when my boyfriend called me and said that he needed me, i jumped on the first plane I could get to. I ended up meeting his whole family, and everyone REALLY appreciated my being there to support my bf. We've been together for almost 9 months, so its pretty serious. He kept saying thank you during the time I was there, and he said I was the best thing he could have asked for at one point. I figured a girlfriend had to support her boyfriend through a hard time with his family, so i didn't think my being there was a big deal. When I left, I got hugs from the family, and one of his relatives whispered in my ear that she wouldn't mind me being part of the family. I just laughed if off and didn't plan on telling my bf because it was about marriage. Apparently he overheard it and told me later. But he wasn't freaked out about it. He's even told a friend that he can see him marrying me. Whats going on? should I be worried about anything?

He probably really loves you. What would you have to worry about? He sounds like a really great guy and it seems like you two have a really good relationship. I wouldn't worry about anything if I were you. Just go with the flow- whatever happens, happens. Good luck and congrats.

The question is, why are YOU freaking out about the marriage comment? So he and his family see you as marriage potential - that doesn't mean any decisions/commitments have to be made right away. Yeah, some guys get freaked about the thought of marriage no matter what their age, but other guys don't really mind and don't confuse possibility with a need to ring shop.
So don't worry about it. You did a wonderfully kind thing, and your relationship is on the right track.

Um there are three types of girls in this world: The kind you would never date, the kind you only.. ehem, and the kind you could see yourself with over a long period. Hun you fit into the third one. Don't freak out, he probably only bought the ring "just in case":) But seriously just cuz he thinks your a good person and that you could be marraige material doesn't mean that he's planning on getting down on one knee. Guys judge girls all the time. "god she's annoying" or "this ones getting on my nerves", having him say "i could see myself with her" isn't a bad thing, it's a compliment. take it as one. It could be worse he could have said "i could see myself with her, but i'm worried about how she'll react to my herpes"

If getting married to the guy is a problem, then worry. If you like /love him it's good news. Just remember he is in a state of anxiety after the loss of his father. Therefor he may not be as animated as usual.

Just b/c he didn't freak out doesn't mean he's going to propose tomorrow. It's a compliment that he can see himself marrying you....someday. If you're not ready yet, and he starts dropping more and more hints, then you could have a discussion about whether you're moving too fast, but this isolated incident, I wouldn't worry about it.

Only if this isn't the man of your dreams!! You must be crazy for this to even be a question. This is a blessing and if you don't recognize all the signs , then maybe it's you that isn't ready. He's not suppose to freak out if he is sure of what he wants. The real question is why are you freaking out?

Well, my first thought was that he didn't mind marrying you, but telling his friend he could see him marrying you? thats a little weird. call him up and see whats bothering him , or if he doesnt like you anymore. get it straightened out. and everything works out for the best, so don't be disappointed no matter what happens.

Even if he does see you guys getting married in the future, I doubt he will propose anytime soon. However, if you don't see yourself marrying this guy ever, then you need to talk to him about it. Because if he is serious about it, then you two need to resolve the issue before he gets too attached to you. I don't think you need to be too worried about anything happening anytime soon, but you should talk to him about it.

It sounds like to me, that your boyfriend is very in love with you. Don't be worried about anything, he just really loves you... and maybe he is thinking about marriage, but doesnt mean it will happen. Don't worry.

What's there to be worried about? If you want to marry him then keep on keepin' on and it sounds like, if things work out, that's what will happen. However, if you don't want to marry him, let him know how you feel.
