My inlaws decided to take it upon themselves and tell my hubby that he had a drinking problem. He does but it isnt for them to decide. They told him a bunch of nasty, out of line, uncalled for things and somehow it became my fault. I must have said something.... NOT!! So... I am PISSED!! How do I act towards them and what do I say if they say something about what they said already? I just want to tell them off but what would you suggest so I dont offend them too much? I dont mind offending them but I want to do it tactfully. Thanks

Honestly it wasn't your in-laws place to confront your husband if he does have a problem. That's between you and him. Just tell them that you apprecaite the concern but what goes on with your husband is really known of their business. Exspecailly if they are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Well they see that somene they love has a problem and you, as his wife, were not dealing with it. They have evry right to say something. Why wouldn't they? And if he does have a problem, why weren't you working with other people who love him to solve it? Even if you HATE them, you have something in common, you love your husband. So work together on solving that problem and stop with the childish, immature drama. A life is at stake here and so is your marriage.

Grow up! Those people are his family and they've known him alot longer than you have. It is their business, probably more their business than yours. They know him and they have every right to confront his destructive behaviors because it affects the whole family, not just him.
