ok it is better to ask your doctor about your situation, you might be having allergic reaction on that thing you drunk or ate... your body responded by producing phlegm that coats the alllergen for you to cough out! worse... airway passage may constrict leading to suffocation

It could be and probably is that you have a yeast infection and it is causing you some problems with your head. Post-nasal drip and also drinking milk will cause your throat to fill up with mucus and make you just about want to choke. You should probably stick to vegies and vegie juicces such a V-8 and the like. It will get rid of the mucus and make you feel healthier in no time at all. Try it. It works, it worked for me!!!

some acidic beverages may cause indigestion, if that is it then you need some mylanta, prilosec, (some sort of acid blocker), this is what it sounds like, my b/f has hiatal hernia and if he stops taking his prilosec, he has the same signs and symptoms as you, he cant breath, panics, etc. He has family history of his mother and brother having to have their esophagus stretched.
if it actually is phlegm you should try taking some mucinex and drinking plenty of water to clear it out,

Maybe allergies/post-nasal drip. If it's the juice that's causing it then stop drinking it.
