I just started going to the gym but don't want to diet. I am going to try to eat healthier, like more fruits and veggies but I really don't want to do a specific diet like south beach or something. Will this be enough to lose weight? If I go to the gym 3 times a week for 45 min-1hour?

exercise and a healthy diet are always important. You may lose weight as a result. But without eating enough protein, you'll also lose muscle mass, so be sure to get enough for your body weight.

Well if you start eating healthier that is a diet, just not one with a name. Eating healthy and exercising is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. Check out the sugar contents on the fruit that you eat though. I don't think unlimited amounts of fruit are a great thing. Watch the refined carbs also and you will see results.

Lift weights for that time, then add in some cardio for another 40 mins. Basically what you're trying to do is burn calories with cardio, and build muscle which will burn calories during your everyday life. You don't have to diet, just dont eat fast food and dont eat after you're satisfied.

It may be enough in the beginning, but eventually you will hit a plateau and have to increase your workout and/or change your diet. Your body will get used to what its doing so you have to keep challenging it. They key is to expend more calories than you consume. I suggest visiting the Weight Watchers web site. It's full of helpful tips and information. Good luck!

lemme share something with you. when i first started the gym i weighed myself and i was about 190 lbs... the first 2 weeks i'd do cardio for like 30 mins and not diet... yes i lost just about 2lbs... and this was doing it everyday.
then i tried dieting... and believe me sistah it really works....
specially just eating cucumber... it doesnt starve you, and don't forget to take mid snacks... having 3 meals a day then 2 snacks is good... now when i say snack i dont mean junk foods... eat like carrots or banana. Hope this helped!
God bless and good luck

Just cut out sugar, soda pop, fried food, and fast food. And dring LOTS of water. That should help you a lot. It's not really a diet, but a good way to eat for life. Good luck, kiddo!! :)

Also try not to eat after 6 or 7pm. Drink lots and lots of water. Serve yourself small portions. Dont drink beer! And of course you are already excercising 3 times a week so that should be enough. Good for you and I hope you dont go SKINNY. I hope you go for SLIM OR SLENDER.
