If you have been struggling to lose weight, dehydration could be the reason. Dehydration triggers your body to secrete the hormone aldosterone, which triggers water retention. As you increase your water intake, your body will begin to release stored water reserves and you may lose 2 – 5 pounds of retained water!

well if you drink a lot of water you're filling your stomach with water instead of food and you could get full on water. i guess that's how you lose weight with water.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Actually can add water weight. Best way to lose weight is to cut down on calories as part of a balance diet and exercise (burn calories)

it's good for your skin but it won't directly make you lose weight. by drinking water, you feel fuller because the water fills your stomach, so you might eat less.

i don't think it can be used as a diet drink or something, but i know it does clear your skin, and keep your metabolism up. if you don't drink enough water one day, it will decrease your metabolism by 2%. it also helps to drink it if you feel hungry, bucuz most of the time you are just really thirsty.
good luck!

Drinking a lot of water helps curb your appetite; you feel more full and eat less. So yes, it indirectly helps you lose weight.

It really won't do anything. When you first drink it, you will get heavier. You have just put something into your body, so there is no choice but to get heavier. Eventually you will start urinating more, and should return to your normal weight. It will certainly do NOTHING for weight loss, except maybe supress your appetite.
