Hey reverend 112233,
There's blacks in the NFL but how many black quarterbacks are there????? Few to non.
There's like one black guy in hockey, I think he's a goalie. Maybe you should go to the hockey section and spread your hatred there.
Tom Hammonds is a black former NBA star who drives a Pro-Stock car in the NHRA.
Here's his driver profile: http://www.nhra.com/drivers/driver.asp?driverid=45&CatCd=3
The director of operations for "DEI: Dale Earnhardt Inc." is black.
Get an education too. Reading your entire question and comments is hard to do. Or atleast hit 'spell check' once in a while.
I'm not sure I really understand the question.
Why is there a "BET: Black Entertainment Television" and no White Entertainment Television.
Why did Jesse Jackson hold a demonstration at the Academy awards because not enough black people were nominated, yet he held it two blocks away as not to offend the host of the whole freakin' show...WHOOPI GOLDBERG!!!!!!!!!

What in the world are you talking about? I thought I seen just about every asinine question or comment that there can possibly be but you just put the icing on the cake.
If you throw racing as a whole in the line up like you did golf baseball soccer then I think it's there with what ever your list was suppose to mean.
I guess if there is a black it's the best or something. Sorry your to confusing with the black thing in the world thing with golf NBA and tenni and there are no racers because they aren't black ones.
Yes NASCAR can have some of the best drivers in the world. I don't think there are many of them that I would put as best in the world but there are a few.
And what brought this up in the first place? Did one of the kiddies in the NASCAR Q/A make the statement? Or are you trying to start something. Or are you just a racist trying to start some crap?

Right now NASCAR does present a strong arguement for it's Fans to make along those lines. Yeah, NASCAR may lack the diversity of other Sports; but racing as a whole in every major series is nearly 90% White. So Race has absolutely nothing to do with NASCAR Fans boasting of it's greatness.
When Juan Pablo Montoya crossed over from the very elite Formula One Series, the perception at the time was that F1 was far superior to NASCAR. JPM's struggles in NASCAR have now closed the gap of perception on the quality of NASCAR Drivers and F1 Drivers. JPM's failure to be a consistent contender in NASCAR has opened the door wide for NASCAR Fans to say with authority that they have the greatest Drivers in the world.
"...so there are no blacks in the world that can drive good." It's obvious to me you have no heard of Lewis Hamilton current F1 points leader and rookie with the McLaren Mercedes Team. No one has ever said Blacks can't Drive good; just so few have taken an interest in Racing and fewer still have made an attempt to compete in it's elite series. So it is more of a lack of interest in Racing by Blacks then a racial issue with Racing or NASCAR for that matter.

I am thinking like most on here that I have just read. NASCAR is the top level. These drivers all started out as kids racing Go carts, and as they got older they progressed to some form of dirt track, or some small town oval track racing. They have been working on their skills for tha majority of their lives. They are not here because they are WHITE. They are here because they can find victory lane. Sort of the same reason Basketball has the mix that it has. Where do most of your great basketball players come from? Inner city kids, that at a very early age were outside playing hoops and kept getting better and moving up.
Your racist complaint holds no water. It is the truest form of equal opportunity anywhere. THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB.

Getting a NASCAR ride is the toughest ticket in sport today.
Only about 50 teams exist and of these only 43 can race.
Still, women, blacks and foreigners have been racing off and on in NASCAR since it's birth.
Here are a couple of names from years ago. Louise Smith and Pedro Rodriguez.
Louise smith won 38 NASCAR Modified races and Pedro, born in Mexico City, ran his first race when he was 19. He competed in only 6 events from 1959 to 1971 and had 1 Top 5 and 2 Top Tens.
Pedro competed in Charlotte in 1965 in a Holman-Moody Ford, started 12th and finished 5th.
Never ever forget Wendell Scott's contribution to NASCAR.
With so few rides available, regardless of color or gender, only the best need apply.

get off the minority crap if they were good enough to drive they would be driving ,the nascar teams have bent over backward to get a minority driver but they dont pan out so the best drivers are in nascar right now if a minority comes up and does well fine but im tired of the minority crap and trying to help them get to the top they should earn it like all the guys who race on saturday night dirt tracks around america do ,forget the driver develpoment crap and look around the local dirt tracks for real talent,if you dont like it stick with the NBA maybe they should have some player development so a white guy could play once in awhile

I agree with pretty much all the previous answers but i would like to add that lack of diversity has absolutely nothing to with wether Nascar has the best drivers. Instead of looking for the "race angle and diversity" in everything maybe we should celebrate the fact that most nascar fans dont care what color your skin is or who you worship. We just wanna enjoy the race and our drivers whoever they may be.

Nascar has the biggest fan base in most sports the most loyal fans, there`s a bigger cheer when Dale Jr goes out to qualify than when someone wins a race at IRL or F1.
there are more fans watching qualifying at Nascar event than there are at a IRL race period.
There are blacks in some levels of Nascar you have Bill Lester driving truck races and some NBS races, there are some women in some levels you have Kelly Sutton in truck racing, Erin Crocker has driven NBS & Truck now in ARCA.
There were other african americans in the past that drove in then called winston cup.
don`t get me wrong I like Football, hockey,NBA & WNBA ,I mean you can`t just give a few spots to african americans it`s up to them to try and make it into the races,it`s not that nascar does`nt want any it`s just not that many trying out all there is to it.
if you look at NBA most teams are about 80% black , not to many blacks in hockey either just a few that I know of.
Nascar is open to whoever wants to try and has the means to make it in....freethe#8

the NBA is 90% black. where is your diversity. Are there not enough white players that can play at that level. That is not what the black culture is in to, most of them are into the gangsta, lifestyle, which is promoted by the players in the NBA. How many nascar drivers have been convicted of murder, or accused of rape, or has a posse , with guys carrying guns to a club. You do not see these problems in nascar, maybe that is why there are no minorities in nascar. Nascar has went out of it's way to attract minorities to the sport, it is not there fault that they have no takers.
