For the past week I've been feeling real lightheaded and dizzy, even when I'm sitting. I'm also having numbness in my arms. Has anyone with Lupus felt like this before? I hadn't. I've had Lupus for about 4 years.

I have had lupus for 20+ years, but never experienced these symptoms. You should see your Dr. to have some blood work done to see if you are starting to have a flare so they can treat you as soon as possible.

Hi, I have Lupus also. Yes in fact I feel like that a good part of the summer, and when I am, The thing with Lupus is that problems like this tend to come and go, often without any rhyme or reason. For some these symtoms come and go through the course of our illness, for others they may experience them for awhile, maybe as some sort of a flare, and never see them occur again. It could be that you are dehydrated, or that you are having some sort of Central nervous System Problem possibly. All four things I mentioned are very possible in Lupus. My arm numbness comes and goes, I have not had it in a long time, but the light head feeling and dizziness is pretty regular for me. I really do suggest you see your rhumotologist about these symptoms, if she can not help you or the symptoms do not go away, you may need to see a Nuerologist.

These symptoms can range from not so serious, to serious. So I wouldnt just sit around with them for to long, on the other hand, I wouldnt freak out in the meantime either. All this goes with having Lupus, these crazy and unpredictable symptoms. I have had Lupus for 20 years, but it took them a good 10 years to diagnose me because I was rather young when the symptoms began. I'm 40 now and try to live a normal life though I have a pretty moderate to moderate severe case. Its all in having a good medical team, knowing when you need care, and support.
Take care, get help soon

Call your rheumy. It's best to catch flares and new symptoms early. My first encounter with lupus put me in the hospital for 14 days. Now that I know what it is and what it can do, I don't fool around with it at all.

I have these symptoms and I do have lupus, but I also have many other health problems so I'm not sure if they're related. You should talk to your rheumy to find out what the cause might be.

I don't have Lupus and talked to others who have. It is possible that you could have a virus going on like a 24 hour virus but the only way to know for sure is to have this evaluated by your dr to see what they think is going on. Also, please let your rheumatologist know what's going on so that it can be documented in your chart for future reference.
