Tough question. If the money going in the pocket of the politician generates jobs for a community, then I have to go with that choice. We have quite a few assistance programs and we need to pay for them somehow.

Each individual should decide how the money they've earned is spent. Then each of us can choose to help either a needy family or a politician, a charity or a cause that they believe in. This method is equitable, efficient, and best of all voluntary!

Neither. I'd rather not pay the taxes and have it in my own pocket. I've worked hard all my life for the things that I have. It's about damn time people stop feeling sorry for themselves and get out and do something about it.

Most politicians in high places are wealthier than the average citizen will ever be. I would rather help someone financially who really needs it.

Now that is a truly stupid question. Kind of on the same level as asking someone if they quit wiping their bottom with their left hand. The question assumes there are only 2 choices which anyone rational knows is incorrect.

My taxes ought to be paying for the roads, all public buildings, HEALTH care, and security etc. This security would also include benefits for those needing it. Say, if I lost both legs, and therefore lost my job, I would need to receive benefits.
I am not paying taxes (nor double taxation from smoking) to pay for the corruption and slavery of this country.
